Maintain Vehicles
A critical part of any City is the reliable operation of its vehicles. From maintenance vehicles to emergency vehicles to mass transit, reliable transportation is a must for an efficient operation. With its three full time technicians: one parts clerk and two part-time employees, Fleet Maintenance provides support for more than 465 vehicles City vehicles, ranging from transit buses, police cars, light/heavy duty trucks, riding mowers, trailers, loaders and tractors.
The Fleet Maintenance staff uses computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to schedule maintenance, keep track of problem history and identify trends. As a result, fleet maintenance is able to provide Municipal Services with an exact view of a car's history. This capability allows Municipal Services to identify cars with a poor service record, take corrective action and/or make recommendations for improvements with inventory.
