Vehicle Confinement

Pursuant to the City of Turlock Municipal Code, Section 6-1-317, it is unlawful to leave an animal in any unattended motorized vehicle without adequate ventilation that may endanger the health or well-being of such animal due to heat, cold, lack of food/drink or other circumstances expected to cause suffering, disability, or death.

City of Turlock Animal Services will re-inspect the vehicle in 30 minutes. If the animal is not removed from the vehicle, we will forcibly remove and impound your animal at the shelter. A citation will be issued and fines must be paid prior to release.
